Lake Terlago is located in the town of the same name, a few kilometers from Trento. Rich in submerged vegetation and fish, it is the richest lake ecosystem in Trentino. It is a vast, shallow hilly lake at the bottom of the basin of the same name and at an altitude of 416 meters. Its waters have a singular brown-olive color due to the variegated flora. The lake has an area of 350 thousand square meters and is considered a true paradise by fishermen due to the presence of numerous and valuable fish species: pike, native lake trout, carp, tench, chub, etc. The oldest archaeological evidence connected to the lake dates back to the late Paleolithic, about ten thousand years before Christ.
